About Me

Over the past 15 years, I have tried all kinds of artistic careers, and my passion for creating characters and storytelling has grown stronger every day.

In 2012, I had the opportunity to attend community college and study visual arts. I also started a side gig drawing portraits of people and pets. Then, in 2016, I deep dived into graphic design, web design, product design, and digital illustration. Using those skills, I ran my own business creating and selling stationery and planning products, while also offering freelance design services.

However, when the pandemic hit in 2020, I changed course. I devoted myself to learning how to create comics and webtoons, immersing myself in storytelling, and refining my skills at each step of the process. Studying hundreds of webcomics over several years – examining their use of color and atmosphere, art styles and dynamic movement, pacing and storytelling techniques – I was obsessed. Much of the process of comic creation, including storyboarding, character acting, expressions, and dynamic movement, eventually brought me full circle, back to animation.

To continue my pursuit of art knowledge, I attended the University of Texas at Dallas and took a few classes on 3d games and animation. We explored 3d modeling, rigging, surfacing, animating, and lighting. Deciding to further my studies outside of university, I enrolled in character design and storytelling classes taught by industry professionals online, studied more helpful art books, and focused honing the skills I needed through tutorials and self-study.
